Upcoming Bus Trip For AACC Conference

American Association of Christian Counselors
2009 World Conference:

Grace and Truth
September 16-19, 2009
At Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN

Fellowship of Christian Counselors
Will be chartering a bus to leave from Fort Wayne

Top 6 Reasons to Take the Bus:

1) Fellowship
Re-connect with old friends/meet new people, play games, eat, dance (ok-that could be a bit tough,)
2) Tailor your trip
Combine fellowship with rest – read, sleep, watch scenery
3) Save money on gasoline
Estimated fuel costs $30/tank x 4 (approx) tanks = $120
4) No wear and tear on your vehicle
5) Save money on parking
Parking at Opryland ranges from $18-$25/day x 3days = $54-$75
6) No stress
Did I miss my exit? Where’s the next bathroom stop? Is that a police officer behind me?

Depart: 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 16, Return: at end of conference on Saturday, September 19
Cost: $100 per person - $50 non-refundable down payment due at time of registration. Registration deadline is August 12, 2009. If we do not have 20-25 people, the bus portion of the trip may be cancelled. In that case, the down payment will be refunded.

Forgiveness IS Mental Health : July 10

FCC Meeting scheduled for July 10: Forgiveness IS Mental Health
Presented by: Lori Horstmeyer-Grubb MA, LMHC
This presentation will be a brief synopsis using scripture of how many Christian clients view the subject of forgiveness. And why sometimes that view needs to be de-tangled through education regarding the process of multi-level healing. This is a great opportunity to learn more about forgiveness and how God’s charge to us to forgive can be carried out in the process of restoration.

About the location: St. Joe Behavioral Health at 700 Broadway – Medical Office Building, Suite 111: Use the valet service for free (allow extra time) or park in the garage (cost is $1-2). St. Joe Behavioral will provide complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water. You may bring your own breakfast, but if you would like to purchase breakfast, go directly to the main elevator and down to the ground floor to the cafeteria. Then, get back on elevator and get off at 2nd floor and follow hallway to the right to the Medical Office Building (MOB). Once you cross the enclosed sky bridge, you will now be on the 2nd floor of the MOB. Get on the first elevator to the right and go down to the 1st floor of the MOB. Go to Suite 111 by the fountain. (This is much easier than it sounds.)
